Lockdown 2.6 Challenge- multiple charities
Lockdown saw many charity events cancelled. Charities rely on donations from these events which meant many of them struggled during the pandemic. As the London Marathon was unable to go ahead the organisers decided to put on a 2.6 challenge. The number 26 was the date of the marathon & the number of miles ran in the marathon. This challenge could be anything from 2.6 mile run, 26 mile walk, climb stairs 26 times, 260 burpees. A number of clients took part in this donating £26 to their chosen charity.
London Marathon in aid of Macmillan
After completing my Sports Massage course I used my newly found skills to help relieve the legs of those poor tired runners at the end of the race. All those running for Macmillan were invited to a complimentary massage to support the runners & the charity in one of the biggest charity events in the calendar.
Ladies Boxing Match in aid of JDRF, EDS & Keech Hospice Care
On a Christmas future fit night out two clients decided after a few drinks it would be a great idea to have a boxing match in aid of charities close to their hearts. Motivated by boxing classes with future fit they put their skills to the test in the ring. Jordan vs Probyn
Over 150 people turned up to watch the fight hosted at The View in WGC. The fight ended in a very close call, with the winner on points being Jordan.
Pilates in the Paddock in aid of The Sick Childrens Trust
50 participants came together on midsummers evening for a Pilates class in the beautiful surroundings of Coltsfoot Country Retreat, Datchworth. The charity event was inspired after a client’s son Ben was diagnosed with a brain tumour & received support from The Sick Children’s Trust. Ben is now well on the road to recovery.
